Part 5 of ‘Wanders in the Wide World’ is published

Part 5 of our Genealogy Book series “Wanders in the Wide World” is published! The Arnhem-The Hague-Southeast Drenthe tree. Another great collaboration with André Wanders and for this occasion also with Gezinus Wanders and Jan Wanders (they are branches of this tree).
The book contains 170 pages, is richly illustrated, completely in color and with an extensive keyword register.
This family tree starts with Johannes (Jan), born circa 1725 in or around Arnhem. His son Adrianus (Andries) served already from the age of 14 in Napoleon’s army and went through various battles. He was injured several times. Once back in the Netherlands, he was put to work as a supervisor in the peat colonies in the Southeast of the province Drenthe. This resulted in many descendants over there.

We also included a limited history of The Hague and of some Southeast Drenthe cities and villages in the book.

In addition to the family tree, there is also a chapter on the history of more than 47 years of genealogical research, which has led to various publications. It also contains four theories about the origin of the name.
